The old tax regime slabs (0% up to Rs. 2.5L, 5% up to Rs. 5L, 20% up to Rs. 10L, 30% above), plus the Rs. 50,000 standard deduction and 4% Health & Education Cess. It does not calculate the new regime.
No — it only applies the standard deduction of Rs. 50,000 to your CTC. Any 80C, 80D, HRA, or other exemptions you're eligible for would reduce your actual taxable income and TDS further than shown here.
Treat it as an estimate only — your employer's payroll system calculates actual TDS based on your declared investments, exemptions, and any income proof you submit, which this tool doesn't collect.
Total annual tax + cess is simply divided by 12 for an average monthly figure — actual employer TDS deduction may be front-loaded, back-loaded, or adjusted through the year based on your declarations.
