Frequently Asked Questions

The Retirement Corpus Calculator only sizes the lump sum you'd need at retirement. This tool goes a step further — it also back-solves the monthly SIP you need to start today, right now, to actually reach that corpus by your target retirement age.

It assumes you'll need the corpus to last until age 85, applying inflation-adjusted expenses across that full retirement span when sizing the corpus.

Your current monthly expense is inflated forward to your retirement date before sizing the corpus, so higher inflation increases both the target corpus and the monthly SIP needed to reach it.

A shorter accumulation period means the required monthly SIP will be noticeably higher for the same target corpus, since there's less time for compounding to do the work.

Enter your current age and target retirement age separately — the calculator derives the years-to-retirement itself, so there's no need to calculate that gap yourself.
