It varies hugely by industry, growth rate, and market conditions — SaaS/recurring-revenue businesses often command higher multiples than services businesses, for example. This tool doesn't recommend one; you supply it from comparable recent deals.
Be consistent with whatever revenue basis your comparable multiples were calculated on — mixing bases (e.g. applying an ARR-based multiple to trailing revenue) will distort the result.
