Only domestic travel (within the country) qualifies, generally by the shortest route, and typically limited to specific travel classes (like economy air or certain rail/road classes) — international travel does not qualify.

You may be able to carry forward one unclaimed journey into the first year of the next block, subject to the specific carry-forward rules in force — confirm with your employer's LTA policy.
